The Rhema Word

Exodus 23:25+26, “But you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and water; and I will remove sickness from your midst.  There shall be no one miscarrying or barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.”
God said that that you should serve Him.  Through this service God promises us 4 very vital things.  But before we concentrate on these things, His blessings to us, let’s understand, first what we are to do.  In verses 21 +22 there are prerequisites to these promises.  They are, simply put, to listen to His voice and then obey what He speaks to us.  This is very important to understand.  The entirety or the word of God is for us today. Through it we grow and build our relationship with the Lord and with each other.  In His word are timeless treasures which help us to go from children to sons and daughters.  But what about His rhema, or spoken word?  In other words, what is He speaking to you in particular? What rhema has He given you?  This is the word that will bring us into the land that He promised for us.  This is the word that builds our faith.  In other words, if we don’t know His voice, or believe that He still talks to people today, we will never walk in the destiny He has for us.  We still have the written word and that will bring us to salvation and sanctification.  But if we are to walk in a place of true blessing, it’s very important to understand that each one of us are different and each one of us has a different calling in life.  We must seek His word and obey it, yes, for the body of Christ, yes, for our church and families, but most importantly, for ourselves.  We can’t live off someone else’s manna.  Each one of us has to gather their own.  So, what is God speaking to your heart?  Don’t you think it’s time to walk into your destiny instead of every one else’s?
